Third-Party Event Listing Policy

FestLink helps vendors discover festivals, markets, and fairs across Ontario. To make discovery useful from day one, some events shown on FestLink are third-party events — events created by organizers who are not FestLink users, or compiled from publicly available sources such as organizer websites and public listings.

These third-party events are listed for discovery and awareness only. They help vendors see what is happening, but they are not managed by the event's organizer through FestLink.

You cannot apply to a third-party event through FestLink. For these events, FestLink does not collect applications, does not send your profile or documents to the organizer, and is not involved in vendor selection in any way.

Where a third-party event links to an external website, that link opens the organizer's own site. FestLink is not a party to anything that happens there, and your FestLink profile is not shared with that site.

A FestLink account, profile, or application has no effect on a third-party event. The organizer of a third-party event will not receive anything from FestLink about you.

To apply to a third-party event, you must go through the organizer's official channels — usually their own website, application form, or the contact details they publish.

Confirm the opportunity, fees, and deadlines directly with the organizer before paying anything or sending documents. Do not assume an event is open, accurate, or genuine because it appears on FestLink.

Only events clearly marked as open for applications on FestLink can be applied to through FestLink. Everything else must be pursued directly with the organizer.

FestLink aims to clearly distinguish third-party (external) events from events managed on FestLink. External events are labelled as external, and their primary action directs you to the organizer's official website rather than to a FestLink application.

If an event's origin or status is unclear, treat it as a third-party listing and confirm details directly with the organizer before acting.

Third-party event information may be incomplete, out of date, or inaccurate, because FestLink does not control the original source. Dates, fees, locations, and availability can change without notice.

FestLink does not verify, endorse, or guarantee third-party events, their organizers, or any opportunity, and is not responsible for third-party websites, content, decisions, payments, or conduct.

Listing a third-party event on FestLink does not create any relationship between FestLink and that event's organizer, and does not make FestLink a co-organizer, agent, or sponsor of the event.

If you are the organizer of an event listed on FestLink and would like to manage it, open it to applications through FestLink, or have it corrected or removed, contact us at hello@festlink.ca.

Claiming an event and choosing to manage it through FestLink means it is no longer a discovery-only third-party listing and becomes subject to the Organizer Agreement.

If you believe a third-party listing is inaccurate, outdated, misleading, or fraudulent, please tell us at hello@festlink.ca so we can review and, where appropriate, correct or remove it.

If anyone asks you to pay fees or send documents on the basis of a FestLink listing for an event you cannot confirm directly with the organizer, stop and contact FestLink before proceeding.

This policy is governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada, and forms part of the FestLink Terms of Service.

FestLink may update this policy as the platform changes. Material changes may be communicated through the website, dashboard, or email.
